WHAT: As established by the Georgia Constitution and the Official Code of Georgia, County Commissioners in this State, including Fayette County, are charged with the responsibility of providing a system of local government services designed to “protect the health, safety, and welfare” of their citizens. Fayette County Democrats are encouraged to attend this bimonthly meeting. With a near 50/50 County political divide yet only 20/80 Democrat-Republican representation, every underrepresented face and voice helps our lone Democratic Commissioner fight for your values when deciding the future of Fayette County.

Fayette County is the most politically divided Atlanta County with the highest likelihood of flipping Democrat in the upcoming 2022/2024 elections. Because of Republican gerrymandering, only one Democrat sits on the County Board of Commissioners (District 4’s Charles Rousseau).
